Why is there nobody booking online?
We get asked this question a lot but it's the wrong question. Online booking is easy once you get it going. it basically takes care of itself. But, think about that...first you have to get it going. Your customers won’t necessarily know that you offer this service. it’s a fairly new concept and the fact that you are offering it sets you apart from the competition...unless of course your client’s don’t know.
So how do I tell people about my online booking? Well that is the right question. You have to tell them as many different ways as possible. So here are the 4 most effective things you can do to promote your online booking to clients.
1. Link, link, link - There’s nothing more useful than your Facebook account for spreading the word. If you have a good business page this is exactly where you need to be pedalling your online booking. let clients know what they can book online at any time! You’d be surprised by the ones that don’t know. You can also link it to your website and direct people there. Put your booking link everywhere and explain what it’s all about. You’ll be surprised the result that simply just telling someone can have.
2. Answering Machines - It may seem obvious...but make sure your voicemail lets people know that they can book online! This gives them a second option if for some reason you cannot get to the phone or they try calling outside of hours.
3. Use your Sms Marketing - Get promoting it with SMS! Why not send out thank you texts for appointments that remind clients that they can book their next appointment online? This isn’t just a generic thank you, you can even say something like “Hi Mary, We miss you already ;) Thanks for coming in today. Remember you can book your next appointment @ myzanadoo.com/beautytree”.
4. Stickers - Traditional marketing is not to be frowned upon and the more your clients see something the more likely they are to act on it. Make up some stickers that advertise your online booking and start sticking them where ever you think client’s will be looking... be it the ceiling of a treatment room or the bathroom door!
